In the Summer of 2024, CCCF approached the BOCC and requested permission to renovate the Chipola River Wayside Park along Hwy 20 in Clarksville. Permission was granted and initial clean up began. A work day with cccf volunteers, community members, and local leaders was held on June 29th and consisted of mowing, pressure washing, debri removal and initial clean up. Soon after CCCF hired a local contractor to do additional pressure washing, as well as paint the pavillions, picnic areas, and bathroom facilities. A group of local volunteers who wish to remain anonymous generously renovated the bathroom stalls. 

In the coming months additional landscaping, concrete repairs, and new signage will be added. CCCF hopes to have this renovation project completed by the Summer of 2025.
